The Platform

The Complete Payments Stack, Embedded in Yours

From white-label sub-merchant onboarding through split settlement and IRS 1099-K e-filing — the full payment facilitation stack embedded in your platform. No money transmission license required on your side. PayNestio is not a bank and does not hold your sub-merchants' funds between settlement events.

Architecture

Three layers. One integration.

PayNestio's stack is modular — deploy all three layers or start with the ones your current payment volume justifies. Each layer is independently accessible via the same REST API.

01

White-label UI Layer

  • Branded sub-merchant onboarding flows under your domain
  • Merchant portal components (payout history, bank account management)
  • PCI DSS-scoped payment capture forms — reduces your PCI scope
  • Embeddable as iFrame or React components in your existing UI
02

Settlement Engine

  • Multi-party split settlement with configurable rules per transaction type
  • ACH origination on T+0, T+1, or T+2 schedules
  • Platform fee capture and interchange-plus pass-through accounting
  • Daily reconciliation reports with per-transaction audit trail
03

Compliance & Tax Layer

  • KYC/KYB identity verification, beneficial ownership collection, OFAC screening
  • BSA/AML transaction monitoring with configurable velocity rules
  • Automated 1099-K threshold tracking, form generation, and IRS e-filing
  • Chargeback management queue with pre-arbitration dispute tooling
Feature Details

Built for the payment flows that break generic processors

PayNestio's settlement engine handles multi-party splits natively. Define split rules by transaction type, sub-merchant tier, job category, or any custom platform logic. Funds route to sub-merchants, your platform account, and any third-party recipients on your configured schedule. Supports T+0 (instant ACH), T+1, and T+2 ACH origination windows. Every split decision is logged with a full audit trail exportable via API. Interchange-plus pass-through accounting gives your finance team visibility into exact payment economics per transaction.

Sub-merchant onboarding runs a KYC/KYB waterfall: business entity verification, beneficial ownership identification (FinCEN CDD rule compliant), OFAC SDN screening, and bank account authentication via Plaid. Standard business profiles clear without manual review. Sole proprietors, LLCs, and S-corps follow tiered verification flows with different document requirements. Flagged cases surface in your compliance dashboard for human review. The entire flow runs under your domain — sub-merchants never interact with PayNestio's brand.

PayNestio tracks each sub-merchant's cumulative payment volume throughout the calendar year. As the IRS reporting threshold approaches, the system flags the sub-merchant in your dashboard. At year-end, Form 1099-K is generated for every qualifying sub-merchant and submitted electronically to the IRS via the FIRE system. Your platform receives a filing confirmation report with per-merchant detail. No CSV exports, no manual data matching, no January scramble. PayNestio does not provide tax advice — the 1099-K filing service covers the mechanical obligation; consult your tax counsel for platform-specific questions.

Payout velocity controls let you define daily disbursement caps, per-transaction limits, and rolling-window thresholds per sub-merchant or globally across your portfolio. Unusual patterns trigger automated holds before funds leave — protecting your platform's reserve position. For disputes, the chargeback management queue surfaces incoming retrieval requests and chargebacks with response deadlines, supporting documentation, and pre-arbitration tooling. All velocity and chargeback parameters are configurable via API without redeployment.
